The Mud House is a gathering place in Moshav Talmei Yosef that its hosts built with their own hands from natural materials, earth first among them: a round studio house, a covered and equipped outdoor kitchen, a combined toilet and shower and a second guest unit, with shaded seating corners, a fire pit and a barbecue. The whole space can be rented for workshops, retreats and small events, for up to 25 people by day, and individuals, families and groups can stay the night, up to nine people in the two units. By arrangement it offers a tour and demonstration of earth building, workshops and a course of four or more sessions in building and making things with earth, weaving with banana stalks and palm fronds, and evening women's circles around the fire. Its entry in the Eshkol council's business directory adds yoga, crafts, music, and emotional therapy through art, earth and nature.
