A neighbourhood gym and studio club in the old Peer cinema on Yeshayahu Street, at the edge of Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv's old north

The building was the Peer cinema, opened by the Gelfand family in 1958, split into five screens as Rav-Peer in 1990 and closed in 2007; in 2010 a group of young entrepreneurs reopened it as the Kolnoa Peer fitness club and kept the name. The gym runs over three levels: functional training on the lowest, with rings, plyometric boxes, kettlebells, a climbing rope and bumper plates, then machines, TRX straps and pull-up bars, and treadmills, elliptical trainers and spinning bikes at the top. The timetable runs studio classes from HIIT, circuit training and spinning to vinyasa yoga, several kinds of Pilates and kickboxing, with classes outdoors in Yarkon Park, which is just outside the door. Any member who wants one can meet an instructor every two months to build a personal training plan, according to its site. It is open from 06:00 to 23:00 from Sunday to Thursday, 07:00 to 19:00 on Friday and 08:00 to 20:00 on Saturday.
