Assemblage is a boutique hotel at 48 Allenby Street, near the end of the street that meets Jerusalem Beach. It occupies a preserved eclectic-style building about a hundred years old that once held the offices of the Jewish National Fund; the hotel's site says the architect is unknown and that the building is thought to date from 1925. The 20 units are studios and a suite with balconies and kitchenettes, most of them for business travellers and couples. Guests check in at an automatic station and have an open roof with a sea view, a courtyard, a spa with a sauna and treatment room, and a café-bar. The Assemblage Stairs Gallery shows contemporary art and photography inside the hotel, and the hotel runs guided walks in the city.
