Erettz Ze'elim is the guest operation of Kibbutz Tze'elim in the western Negev, half an hour from Be'er Sheva and an hour and a quarter from Tel Aviv. Its hotel has 51 country-style rooms in separate compounds among lawns and flower gardens, each with a double bed, a sofa bed, a television, a mini fridge, a coffee kit and Wi-Fi. Khan Tze'elim, beside it, puts groups, families and friends in lit, roomy booths with mats and mattresses around a shared kitchen, showers with hot water at all hours and fire corners. Guests have the pool from May to October, a synagogue and the Tzon Barzel heritage museum, and the hotel hosts weddings, bar mitzvahs, family Shabbat celebrations and company days. No smoking in the rooms and no cooking appliances in them; music is not played anywhere in the compounds.
