HaMangal VeHaTabun is the family restaurant of the Agbaria brothers, who worked in Tel Aviv restaurant kitchens before opening it on Al-Madina Road in 1997; a second branch followed in Kochav Yair in 2000. A sponsored feature on Rest in March 2022 describes a table that opens with hummus made on the premises, hot mushrooms and salads made by hand every day, followed by skewers and cuts from the grill, from chicken thigh and beef fillet steaks to lamb shishlik, liver and chicken hearts. It says the restaurant was among the first in Umm al-Fahm to serve goose liver, and lists stuffed lamb, lamb shank and lamb neck, grilled fish and seafood, rice, majadra and freekeh, and handmade lafa. The same feature tells of regulars who first came as children and now bring their own, advises booking ahead at weekends, when it is full, and says it hosts birthdays and engagement parties.
