Mandara is a separate guest compound inside Kibbutz Urim in the north-western Negev, ten minutes from Ofakim and 25 from Be'er Sheva, with 38 units spread over five compounds named after fruit trees: the vine, the olive, the fig, the pomegranate and the date palm. Rooms range from Classic doubles to family rooms, two-bedroom Grand Family units with a terrace and a romantic suite with a jacuzzi, all with a kitchenette, air conditioning, television and Wi-Fi, and each with a shaded pergola outside. Stays are room only; the kibbutz supermarket sells everything from vegetables to meat and charcoal, and from Shavuot to Sukkot guests with a wristband may swim in the kibbutz pool. Its site invites guests to the cactus garden next door, the horse farm, a short walk into the wadi, Nunik's sculptures along the fence and the anemone carpets at the end of winter, and offers a hall with a kitchen for up to 60 people and a covered pergola for up to 40.
