A bistro, café and bakery in Kiryat HaSavyonim that two friends founded in 1999, with a menu that follows the seasons.
Rona Fradis and Dganit Amichai, friends and business partners, opened Lechem Yain in 1999 to bring the bistro of the big world out to the periphery. Its site says it began as a café with a few tables and a small team that included the two of them, and grew into an institution known for fresh ingredients and precision. The room has a New York bistro feel by its English page, with an outdoor seating area among large flowerpots, and the menu changes with the seasons, from breakfast through a business lunch to dinner, with a brunch menu on Saturday. In 2007 a bakery joined next door, where baguettes, croissants, sourdough loaves, sweet and savoury pastries, tarts, cakes and cookies are made by hand. The restaurant also hosts private and business events, and takes orders to collect from the kitchen and the bakery.
