A structure in central Gaza's Nuseirat camp was struck after a warning to evacuate, with a fire reported afterwards; what was targeted has not been stated.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a strike on a building in Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip, after first issuing a warning for people to leave, three outlets posting on Telegram and X said. A fire broke out at the site once the strike hit, two of those outlets said.
The Hebrew-language Telegram channel Abu Ali Express reported that the target was the home of the Hamad family in an area of Nuseirat it called Camp 1, and described the resulting blaze as a large one. News.co.il, citing reports from inside the Strip, said a structure in the Nuseirat refugee camp had been hit after an evacuation notice was given, and that a fire followed. Writing in English shortly afterwards, Joe Truzman of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) said Israeli airstrikes had targeted al-Nuseirat and that it was not clear what the IDF had aimed at.
Where Nuseirat is
Nuseirat is a refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip, the coastal territory bordering Israel and Egypt. Its name is transliterated in several ways, including Nuseirat, Nusseirat and al-Nuseirat. The camps in central Gaza were set up to house Palestinian refugees and their descendants and have since grown into densely built urban areas, which means a strike on a single building can affect neighbouring homes and the people living in them.
Abu Ali Express placed the building in what it called Camp 1 within Nuseirat. The other two outlets did not give that level of detail and referred only to the camp or the town as a whole.
What an evacuation warning means
Both Hebrew accounts said the strike came after a warning to evacuate. The IDF, known in Hebrew by the acronym Tzahal, has used advance warnings in Gaza to tell residents to leave a specific building or area before it is struck. None of the three accounts said how this particular warning was delivered, who received it, or how much time passed between the warning and the strike.

Who reported it
The three accounts come from different kinds of outlets. Abu Ali Express is a widely followed Hebrew-language Telegram channel that posts rapid updates on security events in Gaza and the wider region. News.co.il is an Israeli news site that also publishes short updates on Telegram; in this case it attributed its information to reports coming from the Strip rather than to an Israeli official source. Joe Truzman is an analyst at FDD, a Washington-based research institute, who tracks armed groups in Gaza and posts updates on X.
None of the three accounts cited a statement from the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the military's official channel for confirming operations, and no such statement appears in the material.

IDF says Gaza strikes in Nuseirat and Khan Younis killed two Hamas members
Where the accounts differ
The outlets agree that a strike took place in Nuseirat and, in the two Hebrew accounts, that it followed an evacuation warning and caused a fire. They differ on detail:
- Abu Ali Express named the building as the Hamad family home and stated directly that the IDF carried out the strike.
- News.co.il described only a structure, without naming its owners, and framed its account as reports from inside Gaza.
- Joe Truzman referred to airstrikes in the plural and said the target was unclear.
Abu Ali Express described the fire as large; News.co.il said only that a fire broke out.
What the accounts do not say
None of the outlets gives any information about casualties, and none says whether anyone was inside the building or nearby when it was hit. There is no official IDF account of the strike in the material, and so no stated reason for targeting the building and no confirmation of who or what the military was aiming at. The accounts do not explain the significance, if any, of the Hamad family named by Abu Ali Express. It is also not clear whether the strike involved one building or several, given that only one outlet spoke of strikes in the plural. The extent of the damage, and whether the fire was brought under control, was not reported.

How we checked this
The strike in Nuseirat was reported by three separate outlets: Abu Ali Express, News.co.il and FDD's Joe Truzman. The identification of the building as the Hamad family home comes only from Abu Ali Express, and no IDF statement was available in the material.
