A guest house in a vintage-styled villa at the edge of Arad, with seven bedrooms for up to 18 guests, a pool, a sauna and a Bedouin tent in the yard.

Desert Bird is a small boutique guest house at the edge of Arad, in the house where its owner, Michal Peretz, grew up. A tour guide who has worked in tourism for 25 years, she came back to her home town and opened it, and by her own account the business grew to add guided tours, trips in her jeep and home catering for groups of up to 100. In midweek a guest can book a room or a bed in a shared room; at weekends and on holidays the whole villa, seven bedrooms for up to 18 people, goes to one extended family or small group. The yard has a pool, a sauna and a Bedouin tent, and the site offers the place for small events and for groups of cyclists, with safe storage for bicycles and a repair corner. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00, an hour later on Saturday.
