A small boutique winery beside Binyamina railway station, making regional wines from the Hanadiv Valley vineyards south of Zichron Ya'akov

Bar-Maor is a boutique winery founded in 2009 by Rami Bar-Maor, a former architect who worked for many years alongside the sculptor Dani Karavan, then spent 2007 and 2008 apprenticed at Margalit Winery and took a cellar master's diploma at Tel-Hai College. It makes about 50,000 bottles a year of regional wines from the Hanadiv Valley, the broad valley south of Zichron Ya'akov where Baron Rothschild planted the first vineyards of Israel's modern wine industry, mostly from unirrigated vines and with as little intervention as possible, by hand. Its grapes are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Colombard, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Marselan, Syrah, Carignan, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, in three series: Hanadiv Valley, Rendzina and the Cuvée flagship. Most of the wine goes to restaurants, the rest to wine shops and delis, and the winery's own staff design its labels; its site lists 12 HaMelacha Street and 45 HaAsif Street as its address.
