A small family boutique winery on Kibbutz Dan, in the north of the Hula Valley, where visitors taste the wine beside a stream of Nahal Dan.
Galileo Winery was founded by Gil and Gali Hershkovitz and has made wine since 2004, when Gil began with a few bottles for family and friends in an old shelter by the house. It makes about 6,000 bottles a year, of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, rosé and a blend called Jupiter, from grapes of the Ben Zimra vineyard, and sells them to private customers and to restaurants in the Galilee; the whole family takes part in making the wine and hosting. Visitors choose a wine and sit with a bottle or glasses in its corner beside the stream, with a cheese platter if they like, by arrangement on its phone line, and its site says it receives visitors every day of the week, Saturday included. A few times a year it holds events with food and music by the water, and in May 2025 it announced a Friday midday party to mark its return to hosting after a long break.
