The Society for the Protection of Nature's field school on a hill overlooking Nahal David at Ein Gedi: 52 simple rooms, guided desert walks and a marked trail that starts inside the grounds

Ein Gedi Field School is run by the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel and stands on a hill in the Judean Desert, looking over the Dead Sea, the mountains across the Jordan and the Ein Gedi oasis. It has 52 air-conditioned rooms with their own shower and toilet, classrooms, a synagogue, a clubroom, a campfire area for guests and seating with a view over Nahal David and the Dead Sea. The Nahal David reserve, with its waterfalls and pools, is within walking distance, a marked trail leaves from the grounds, and the society's guides lead walks in the area for families and seasoned hikers alike. Breakfast is included and weekends are on half board; in summer guests get free entry to the Kibbutz Ein Gedi pool. Animals and fires of any kind are not allowed in the grounds, which border the nature reserves.
