Aberto is the bistro of the Lear hotel in Gedera, at 5 Shkhevitz Street. Its site says the kitchen is modern and built on seasonal, local ingredients: fresh pasta, fish, aged cuts and desserts. It serves in several rooms: a main room with an open kitchen, a roofed orchard room facing a green yard, a space for small events and an intimate lounge bar, and beside them a wine room between stone walls and arches, in what was once part of the hotel's kitchen, holding hundreds of bottles. A breakfast menu is served every morning, and from midday it serves until 23:00, Saturday included. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the lounge becomes The Other Room, an evening of Japanese cooking. Maariv's critic wrote in February 2022 that the food was meticulous and the service excellent.
