6 HaVatikim Street, Geulim

One of the first farms of moshav Geulim, now a strawberry farm with pick-your-own fields in season and a farm shop open Sunday to Friday.

Meshek 6 is one of the first farms of moshav Geulim, which was founded in 1938. Its site tells how Miriam and Moshe Nahshon, among the moshav's founders, grew strawberries and flowers here and handed the farm to their youngest son, Ehud Nahshon, who has made it a strawberry farm growing a range of leading varieties with biological pest control only. Visitors can buy strawberries straight from the packing house or pick their own in the large fields in season. The farm shop also sells vegetables from its own garden, olive oil, jams and honey, and the farm hosts birthdays, days out for kindergartens, classes and workplaces, and guided tours; its site mentions crafts, pony rides, a petting corner and a snack bar with coffee, strawberry shakes and orange juice in season, and the council's tourism site adds a coffee and pastry cart on Fridays.

Sources disagree on these hours

These are the farm shop's hours, which the council's tourism site gives too. Picking your own strawberries is seasonal and depends on the weather: its site gives the season as December to the end of May, and the tourism site as February to May.
