Kibbutz Ginosar, Ginosar

A kibbutz hotel on the north-western shore of the Sea of Galilee at Kibbutz Ginosar, at the foot of Mount Arbel, beside the museum that holds the ancient Galilee boat

Nof Ginosar is the hotel of Kibbutz Ginosar on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, facing the Golan Heights with Mount Arbel behind it. It has about 170 rooms among lawns, plus the cabins of Ginosar Village across the road, a new swimming pool with a lifeguard open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, and a shaded bathing beach on the lake beside the hotel, open from Passover to Sukkot, with a jetty that runs out into the water. Its dining room serves kosher meals under the regional rabbinate, and there is a dairy cafeteria, a lobby bar, a gift shop, a synagogue, a gym and a playground in the grove between the pool and the beach. In season it runs activities such as campfires, a yellow-bus tour of the kibbutz for children and visits to the kibbutz dairy, and the Yigal Allon Centre, home of the ancient boat from the time of Jesus, is next door.
