Dreamerie was opened by the pastry chef Idan Maimon, who by its own account ran the pastry kitchens of leading Tel Aviv places, among them the restaurants Toto and Claro, to bring careful cooking and hand-made bakes out of Tel Aviv. The bakery side sells fresh bread every morning, French pastries, sourdough loaves, yeast cakes and desserts from the counter, and makes hosting platters to order. The restaurant serves breakfast in the morning, then dishes of the French-Italian kitchen: vegetables roasted in the taboun, salads, pizzas, hand-made pasta and fish. Its site invites guests to grab a salmon sandwich and a fresh juice before work or to sit over coffee and a kouign-amann with a laptop, and it takes 10 per cent off the whole menu from Sunday to Thursday between 12:00 and 17:00. Its kashrut is under the rabbinate, and its site calls it Dreamerie Petah Tikva, at 49 HaSivim Street.
