Moshav Givat Yeshayahu, Givat Yeshayahu

A family boutique winery in Moshav Givat Yeshayahu in the Ella Valley, pouring wines from the region's vineyards with a small dairy menu on a terrace facing the hills

Ulu Winery was founded by Hila and Amir Ulu, who moved to Givat Yeshayahu for a quieter family life and joined Amir's long love of wine with Hila's of design and hosting. It makes its wines from vineyards around the region, in a style its site ties to Provence, Tuscany and Rioja, from a Nofia white of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc to a Genesis blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The compound holds the winery, a visitor centre, an air-conditioned wine lounge and a terrace facing the view, where the wine comes with boutique cheeses, a quiche, baked empanadas, burrata and beetroot carpaccio, and a shop sells the wines. It opens Monday to Thursday from 11:00 to 16:00 and on Friday from 09:00 to 15:00 with food and music, by booking, and guided tours of the vineyard, the production hall and the barrel room are arranged over WhatsApp.
