113 Katzenelson Street, Givatayim

The first and oldest branch of the Deda chain of Georgian restaurants, on Katzenelson Street

Deda is a chain of Georgian restaurants, and Givatayim is where it began: its site calls the Katzenelson Street branch the chain's first and oldest, open for more than 17 years. The kitchen mixes dishes from Georgia, Armenia and the Caucasus with Israel, from khinkali dumplings and several kinds of khachapuri to chakhokhbili, khashlama and grills, with Georgian wines and drinks. The branch serves lunchtime business meals, dinners and delivery, and has a VIP room for private and business events. Its site says each meal begins with a traditional Georgian blessing, and that the music is the happy kind that brings people together.
