A konditorei on Ramatayim Road in Hod HaSharon, opened by Yolanda and Karol Wilheim after they reached Israel in 1949.
Wilheim was founded by Yolanda and Karol Wilheim, Holocaust survivors from Czechoslovakia who married at the end of the Second World War; Karol was a pastry chef by trade. Its site reprints a 2012 nrg article by Shir Frimer telling how they arrived in 1949, in the years of austerity, chose Hod HaSharon because it had no konditorei, and drew long queues for Karol's cheese pastry. Today it sells cakes, biscuits and pastries, savoury bakes, quiches, sourdough sandwiches, salads, hosting platters and individual desserts, with ranges without sugar, without wheat flour and vegan. It is kosher dairy, opens at 05:30 and delivers orders of 150 shekels or more.
