The guest house of Kibbutz Ketura takes families, single travellers, hikers, cyclists and groups, in studios and in apartments of two and four bedrooms that face the mountains of Edom. It is run with Keren Kolot, the kibbutz's centre for educational seminars for young people and adults from Israel and abroad, whose guests sleep in the same rooms and use the kibbutz dining room and classrooms. Guests have the kibbutz pool, a short walk from the rooms and open between Passover and Sukkot, and the site offers a tour of the kibbutz, a desert cycling trip and a night walk to look for scorpions. Ketura keeps Shabbat in its public spaces: guests are asked not to use phones at the Friday-night dinner in the dining room or at the pool on Saturday, and are invited to the Shabbat service in the kibbutz's egalitarian synagogue. The kibbutz has charging points for electric cars, some of them by the lobby.
