Merkaz HaYevulim Street, Kfar Hess

A coffee cart on the lawn in the middle of Kfar Hess, by a playground, with vegetables from the moshav and a wide vegan and gluten-free choice.

Miri and Inbar, partners and friends who each lost a child to cancer, set up HaParpar HaLavan in the heart of moshav Kfar Hess as a place of warmth, community and giving. Its vegetables come straight from the moshav, and the menu runs from sandwiches, bagels, salads and fresh quiches to pastries and desserts; the council's tourism site singles out the London toast with mozzarella, cheddar and yellow cheese, a burrata salad and a vegan chia pudding. There is a long gluten-free list, from cinnamon buns and toasts to yeast cakes, a hot chocolate cake and breads, and vegan quiches, pastries and toasts. The cart and its picnic tables are built for wheelchairs, a Green Work corner has Wi-Fi and charging points, and there are playgrounds around it and three shelters a short walk away.
