The parrot farm in Kfar Hess, in the heart of the Sharon, keeps a wide range of parrots from around the world, and its site says most of them are hand-tamed, used to people and friendly like any pet, so visitors can hold them on their hand, play with them and teach them to talk. In a special area visitors feed lorikeets a sweet porridge from their hands, and the farm puts on parrot shows. Beyond the parrots it has a petting corner, an animal-feeding path, a short film about parrots, crafts, baking in a taboon oven, pony rides, an animal corner, a play area and a café. Tickets are sold online and at the ticket office on arrival, with no need to book ahead.
