The winery that four grape-growing families of Kfar Tavor founded under Mount Tabor, with a visitor centre in the winery compound on Sderot KKL where its wines are poured for tasting

Tabor Winery's site tells how, a quarter of a century ago, four veteran grape-growing families from Kfar Tavor saw what the mountain could give a vineyard; its vineyards now reach across the country, and the winery says all of them are farmed ecologically and sustainably. It makes two series: the Tabor series (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, a dry rosé of Merlot, a white blend of Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc, and a sparkling Moscato and Moscato Rosé) and the Ramat Sirin series, whose Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot spend 12 months in French oak and whose Chardonnay spends four. At the visitor centre the wines are poured from professional dispensing machines, with the winery's staff explaining them, and a glass or a bottle comes with a cheese platter in the seating corners or on the balcony that looks out at Mount Tabor. Visits are arranged ahead with the centre, and its site's privacy note counts the winery among the brands of the Central Bottling Company group. The compound on Sderot KKL also holds Reut's coffee roastery and Eissalon's ice cream factory, by Reut's own account.
