Stella Bakery was set up in March 2020, during the first lockdown, by three brothers, Aharon, Daniel and Lior, as a thank-you to their mother. By the site's account Stella came to Israel at the age of 20, settled in the Kiryat Shalom neighbourhood and went straight to work in a local bakery, where she learned the craft of baking and of working with dough, and she raised her three sons on that work. The bakery sells sandwiches, breads, quiches, cheeses, cakes and hosting platters, takes orders and deliveries through an online shop and runs a catering service. At 121 Levi Eshkol Street it trades as Stella Kitchen and takes takeaway orders and table bookings, and its site gives a second address in town, the bakery in the Kiryat Ono Mall.
