La Luna Lotem is a small boutique place of two zimmers in Lotem, in the Misgav Regional Council, built by Tony and Claudia Hunter, who by their own account have long worked in tourism. Each zimmer looks out on natural woodland and has a large double jacuzzi, a country oven, an induction hob, a dishwasher, an espresso machine and a barbecue corner, and guests can order a massage to the zimmer or a meal, or cook for themselves facing the view. Its site quotes Maariv naming it among ten places to stay in Israel that feel most like being abroad, and says many of its guests come back, some of them four times in under three years, for romantic weekends, birthdays and anniversaries. It points guests to what is close by: the organic Lotem winery and the Shirat Ro'im cheese dairy in the community, the Tzalmon and Amud streams, Yodfat, the Montfort lake, jeep tours and Druze villages.
