Maagan Eden is a holiday village beside Kibbutz Ma'agan on the southern shore of the Sea of Galilee, a kilometre from Tzemach junction on the road to Hamat Gader, and it has been one since 1969, its site says. It has 148 rooms, most of them ground-level family units set among lawns, with a swimming pool kept by a natural-water method and a covered toddlers' pool, and a private, lifeguarded beach on the lake with sunshades and showers. A SUP school runs from its beach club all year, and in July and August and at the festivals there is a children's club and an activity team. Breakfast is served in a dining room that looks over the lake, and the site points guests to the kibbutz's own pizzeria and home kitchens for other meals. There is a protected space for about 200 people beneath the lobby building.
