The café inside the Mesilat Zion pool compound off Route 38, beside a children's forest of play areas, and open on Shabbat

Cafe Al HaMayim is the café of the Mesilat Zion swimming pool, at the entrance to the moshav by the Sha'ar HaGai interchange, halfway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It serves breakfasts, salads, soups, shakshuka in a sizzling pan, bourekas, schnitzels or a burger with chips, pizzas, quiches, children's dishes, Lavazza coffee and desserts, and it is open while the pool is open, so during pool hours entry is paid. Beside it is the Children's Forest, with a gym corner, bouncy castles, game tables and play areas. The pool's site says the café keeps going through the winter, with beer evenings on Thursdays, challah schnitzel on Fridays and home-made jachnun on Saturdays, and its winter-enclosed seating takes private events from 30 people.
