26 HaRishonim Street, Metula

Four restored first-settlers' stone houses around a private spring-water pool on Metula's HaRishonim Street, let as one compound to extended families and groups

Hod Rishonim is a private compound for extended families and groups of up to about 16 guests: three restored first-settlers' stone houses and a host house around a private spring-water pool, facing the Hula Valley, the Golan Heights and the Hermon, a few steps from the Ayun stream waterfalls, by its own site. It was rebuilt from the stones of the house of Yocheved and Haim Moshe Fine, the first couple to settle Metula in 1896, which collapsed in the 1980s, by their granddaughter. The pool is for the compound's guests only, has a paddling pool for toddlers at its entrance and can be heated in spring and autumn, depending on the weather. Breakfast is not included but can be booked at the Beit Shalom restaurant next door, and the compound also hosts private events and has an art gallery with two historical exhibitions.
