1 Mitzpe HaBira Street, Mevaseret Zion

A home-cooking kitchen on Mitzpe HaBira Street: a workers' lunch restaurant on weekdays and a fair of ready food for Shabbat on Fridays.

Tavshilei Ima, mother's stews, grew by its own account out of a family kitchen, a mother who loved to cook for her five children, into a place at 1 Mitzpe HaBira Street in Mevaseret Zion that cooks fresh home food every day. On Sunday to Thursday it works as a workers' restaurant: schnitzel, kebab, baked fish, shakshuka or falafel in a pita or a baguette, a cooked meat or vegetarian dish with two side dishes and two salads, and a kubbeh soup of the day. Every Friday it holds a fair of ready food for Shabbat, with stews, fish, stuffed vegetables, salads and fried dishes to take home, and the same food can be ordered ahead through its site. It caters small and medium events and delivers by area. The site says the kitchen is kosher mehadrin.
