Zalman's is a chain of American-style hot dog shops whose branch list has eleven branches, among them Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Raanana, Bnei Brak, Beit Shemesh, Beitar Illit and Modi'in Illit, where it is at 31 Sha'arei Teshuva Street, in the car park at the back. By its own account Zalman's love of hot dogs goes back to his childhood in America, and he made the chain's sausages and smoked meats with the charcuterie chef Alan Talmor; its site says the sausages have no preservatives, chemicals or gluten and are 100% meat. The menu has beef hot dogs such as the thick, smoked Chicago Bulls and the spicy Texas Wieners, toasts of turkey and beef in ciabatta, schnitzel in challah, chicken wings, corn dogs, salads and a kids' meal. The Modi'in Illit branch opens from Sunday to Thursday from 12:00 until midnight and, in winter, on Saturday night from 20:30, and the branch list links the branch's own ordering page.
