Alexandra House is a guest house in Nazareth's Old City named after the owner's oldest aunt, Alexandra, who visited and played in the house more than 70 years ago. Its site says that when her nephew bought the property she described it as it had been, without seeing it again, and that all the paintings in the house are hers. Each of the three rooms carries a name from the house's story: Amal, the aunt whose copper chandelier hangs in one; Linda, an American volunteer who lived in another for years; and Mary, the owner's mother-in-law, whose name is on the ground-floor studio.
