Moshav Neot HaKikar, Neot HaKikar

A family-run guest house on Moshav Neot HaKikar, half an hour's drive from the Dead Sea beaches: a family unit, a three-room compound and budget rooms around a yard with a pool and a jacuzzi

Lowest Place on Earth is a small family business on Moshav Neot HaKikar, in the Sodom plain south of the Dead Sea, offering a holiday there without hotel prices. It has a guest unit for a couple or a family of up to four, a private compound of three double or twin rooms that share their own kitchen and bathroom, and cheaper private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The yard has a pool and a hot jacuzzi, and dogs are welcome. For an extra charge, and ordered ahead, the hosts serve a farm-to-plate breakfast of fruit and vegetables picked by the moshav's farmers, with cheeses, warm bread and eggs; they also offer lifts to the trailheads and packed sandwiches. The moshav is about 30 minutes' drive from the Dead Sea beach, on the road past Mount Sodom, and a short walk leads to the rock known as the Mushroom.
