Grineli is the cheese boutique of Nelia and Gregory in Kibbutz Ortal. Its site says cheesemaking began as their hobby and became a love: they learned from experts in Israel and abroad and trained in Italy. They make cheeses from cow, goat and sheep milk by old methods and with no preservatives, in the styles of Italy, France, the Netherlands and Spain: soft cheeses such as burrata, feta, mozzarella and halloumi, lactic cheeses such as camembert, Valençay, brie, crottin and taleggio, semi-hard cheeses such as caciotta, gouda, canestrato, tomme, manchego, caciocavallo with olives and sun-dried tomatoes and a smoked braid, and a gorgonzola-style blue. It also makes up cheese platters with its own dried fruit, made with no added sugar, for events and breakfasts, which can be ordered by phone and collected. The shop is open from Sunday to Friday and closed on Saturday.
