Farm 31, Ta'oz, Ta'oz

A handmade sourdough bakery with a café on Farm 31 in Moshav Ta'oz, baking without improvers or additives

Ishlechem is the bakery of Eyal Tamir, whose bond with bread began with a warm croissant his partner brought home, and grew through years of work in bakeries and baking at home before the bakery opened in Moshav Ta'oz. Every loaf is sourdough, made from flour, water, salt and a live starter with no baking improvers or artificial additives: country loaves with walnuts, grains or Kalamata olives, whole rye and Danish rye, whole spelt with or without za'atar, a whole-wheat and khorasan loaf and a buckwheat and brown rice loaf. The shop sells buttery morning pastries, savoury bakes, sandwiches on fresh bread, salads, cheeses and spreads, and the café beside it serves coffee to drink at tables outside facing the open view. Its bread is also sold in village shops, farms and wineries across Mateh Yehuda and beyond, and orders can be placed ahead on WhatsApp and collected.
