At the edge of Moshav Ta'oz, by the forest, Ta'oz

A khan for groups and families at the edge of Moshav Ta'oz, in a fruit orchard where the forest path begins, with a covered hall, a camping area and a private cabin

Khan BaShvil HaYa'ar is run by Milka Moses-Shavit, a tour guide for more than thirty years who once kept guest cabins, and her daughter Tam, who manages it day to day; Milka pulled down an earlier roadside khan and rebuilt it beside a tended fruit orchard and a small vineyard the family planted. Up to 70 guests sleep on mattresses in the covered hall or in their own tents in the orchard, a couple or small family can take a separate cabin with its own bathroom, and up to 120 come for a day event without staying. Guests cook in the shared kitchen, bring food or order home-cooked meals and breakfasts ahead, and the yard has a central fire pit, a saj, a taboon and a pizza oven, picnic tables, paddling pools for summer, a ping-pong table and play equipment, with the forest path starting at the gate. Music goes off at 22:00, pets are not taken, and guests who keep Shabbat find an urn, hot plates, a Shabbat clock and a synagogue within walking distance.
