Pimpinella opened in 2015 in the heart of the Levinsky Market, between the old hamaras and the toy shops of Matalon Street, and brings together two loves: anise and food from the sea. Its site says it holds the largest collection of anise spirits in the Middle East, more than 150 kinds from around the world, beside every other kind of drink. The Mediterranean menu of fish and seafood, with vegetarian and vegan dishes, was created by chefs Boaz Peled and Yogev Yaros. It also runs anise tasting workshops and sells bottles in its online shop.
