The vegan café on Frishman Street, opened in 2014 as the first in Israel

Anastasia was founded in 2014 by Roy Ezer and Tamar Ayalon, who moved to a plant-based diet in 2012, left their own businesses, an architecture practice and a bar, and opened what its site calls the first vegan café in Israel. It cooks for vegans, newcomers to veganism and omnivores alike, with an emphasis on fresh produce, no white sugar or white flour, and raw-food dishes. In 2019 it opened its own vegan factory in Tel Aviv, which makes everything for the café and its online shop. The café on Frishman is open every day, and a self-service branch at Dizengoff 300 also sends out deliveries and party platters.
