A natural Italian gelato shop on the Nahalat Binyamin pedestrian mall, run by two gelato makers who trained in Tuscany and Sicily

Arte was opened in 2015 by Marco Camorali and Sisi Pagani. By its site the two spent about 20 years as professional divers on yachts, took to gelato in Bali through an Italian couple who kept a natural gelateria there, studied at the Natural Gelato Academy in Tuscany, worked in gelato laboratories there and went to Sicily to learn traditional granita, before moving to Tel Aviv to join Sisi's family. The shop uses no food colouring, no emulsifiers and no industrial products, and makes even its decorations by hand, so its counter has no flavours named after commercial brands. One flavour, Marco's cake, is the one they created at the Italian gelato festival in Viareggio in 2014. Each month a different artist paints the main wall, and a corner with brushes and paints lets guests add to a shared painting.
