A kosher falafel and Israeli home-cooking restaurant on Bograshov Street, with shawarma, skewers, hummus and fresh salads, at tables on the pavement or inside

Falafel Gabay is a falafel and home-cooking restaurant at 25 Bograshov Street. Its site calls the place a Tel Aviv institution that draws locals, visitors and tourists, and says its regulars believe its falafel is the best in town, but that the menu goes well beyond it: entrecôte and chicken shawarma, chicken or kebab skewers, homemade schnitzel and chicken breast in a pita or on a plate, meat with rice and beans, and kubbeh, with sabich, falafel, omelettes and shakshuka for those who want a vegetarian meal. Its hummus comes topped with egg, chickpeas, entrecôte, chicken, shakshuka or falafel balls, beside fresh pitas, homemade salads, soups and beer or wine. There are tables outside on the pavement and inside in an air-conditioned room, and the food is cooked fresh every day, to eat in, to collect or for delivery. It is under the Tel Aviv-Yafo religious council's supervision and open from 10:30 to 22:30 from Sunday to Thursday.
