A kitchen of fresh home cooking at 1 Kalischer Street, by the Carmel Market, with a food market of more than 200 dishes on Friday

Savtot Mevashlot, 'grandmothers cook', sells fresh home cooking to take home or have delivered from 1 Kalischer Street, and on Friday its site promises a food market of more than 200 dishes. The dishes follow recipes passed down from grandmothers and are cooked daily without preservatives: meatballs in tomato sauce, beetroot kubbeh, kebabs, mafrum and moussaka, fish in a Tripolitan chraime sauce, chicken from the grill and from the pot, fried snacks and a wide choice of side dishes. Every day there are vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. Its site says the kitchen is kosher under the supervision of the Tel Aviv rabbinate.
