MUSH-ROOM is a farm for edible gourmet mushrooms on Farm 37 in Moshav Tzafririm, founded in 2020 by Gal and Roni Gabai: Gal, a naturopath, had studied gourmet and medicinal mushrooms for years, and Roni set out to learn to grow them. The farm grows lion's mane, chestnut mushrooms and several kinds of oyster mushroom, blue, golden, pink, Florida, Indian and black pearl, in sterile lab rooms and fruiting rooms, on substrates it makes itself and without sprays. It sells ready packs of fresh mushrooms through quality greengrocers, dried oyster mushrooms, kits for growing mushrooms at home and growers' supplies. Groups and families can book a tour of about an hour through the growing rooms, with tastings of dishes made from the farm's mushrooms, a recipe booklet, and fresh and dried mushrooms and kits to buy.
