Burger Road began, by its own account, with a small grill in the yard of a farm, run by two partners who met while working at a small burger bar: Oren Levi of Moshav Tzelafon, who spent years in restaurant kitchens, and Yahav Sabag of Kibbutz Harel. They opened with no investors, and the neighbours came first, then friends, then friends of friends. They say they work only with Israeli ingredients: beef from Israeli farmers, vegetables picked by farmers in the area and sauces made in their own kitchen. In Tzelafon, the council licenses Burger Road as a food stand beside the moshav's grocery, and its link page offers premium burgers for delivery or pickup, with an online order page. The partners have since opened a kosher bar-restaurant under the same name in Srigim.
