Bustan HaNahal, which calls itself the Thai guesthouse in Israel, is a group of zimmers set in an orchard of more than 200 fruit trees, among them all the fruits of the seven species, about seven minutes from the Sea of Galilee. A stream crossed by wooden bridges runs through it, lined with organic medicinal and spice plants and full of fish, from tilapia and goldfish to koi; there are water turtles, parrots, quails, peacocks and a petting corner, and a herd of about 200 gazelles is often seen nearby, mostly at dawn. The units have private premium jacuzzis, air conditioning, smart televisions and free Wi-Fi, and there is a large swimming pool with a view and a camping area with campfires and potjie cooking. Its site says the agricultural holiday village was built on the model of holiday villages in Thailand with the help of the Thailand Israel friendship fund, that it suits religious guests and is run by Sabbath-observant management, and that a synagogue and a supermarket are close by.
