Meni Ozeri started doing stand-up as a hobby while he was studying accounting
Meni Ozeri was born in 1982 and grew up in Holon. In 2006, after the army, he enrolled in accounting studies and began doing stand-up as a hobby at the Camel Comedy Club, and he went on to open shows for the comedian Uri Hizkiya.
His break came in 2010, when Bamboleo, a lip-sync to the Gipsy Kings song shot on his phone, drew millions of views on YouTube. That year he started a show of his own, and in 2011 he appeared on Channel 2's Kablu Otam with the bit Shalom Shmi Pnina, which also passed millions of views. Aval Ma HaKesher (2012), Yofi! Yofiii! (2014) and Ze Ata! (2016) followed.
His stand-up stays away from vulgarity and from teasing the audience, and leans on delivery: faces, voices, impressions, comic pauses and improvisation. He keeps his best-known bits for the end of the show and performs the ones the audience asks for. On television he sat on the panel of Stand-Up NATION on Reshet 13 in 2021, and since February 2024 he has taken part in Kan 11's Moadon HaStand-Up.
