Bethlehem of Galilee, Bethlehem of Galilee

A home-style restaurant known for its jachnun, in a Templer building about a hundred years old in Bethlehem of Galilee, with seven guest units beside it

Mul HaYaar, also called Pundak HaJachnun (the Jachnun Inn), is a restaurant with seven guest units in the Templer moshav of Bethlehem of Galilee. Levia and Yoel opened it about 26 years ago as a homely, low-priced restaurant for the many hikers in the area, and later added the country guest rooms, which look out over the oak woodland reserve. The restaurant is in a building the Templers put up about a hundred years ago, in a garden of loquat and citrus trees, and its menu centres on jachnun made by hand to a family recipe, with Yemenite soup, hamin, malawach, Bavarian sausages, schnitzel and shawarma, and breakfast until noon. It takes events of up to about 200 people by arrangement.
