Joyce grew up as a family business facing the fields of Bitzaron, and its site says its story runs to three generations. Its bakery and patisserie make cakes, tarts, cookies, sourdough breads, focaccias, croissants, savoury pastries, salads, cheeses and spreads by hand each day; at the bakery, guests choose what they like from the counter for a breakfast of their own, order a drink, pay and sit on the outside deck or on the lawn facing the vineyard. It opens Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 14:00 and on Friday from 8:30 to 13:30, with no table bookings. Its garden, terrace, private wine room and bakery hall host events of 30 to 180 guests with a dairy Italian menu, pastries from a wood-fired oven brought from Italy and wine from the grapes of its own vineyard, and its online shop sells cakes, hosting trays and picnic boxes for delivery.
