39 HaHayalim Street, Moshav Bitzaron, Bitzaron

A small family winery in the farmyard of a Bitzaron homestead, making wine from its own Malbec vineyard and hosting wine evenings, chef's meals and workshops by booking

Mar'eh Makom is the winery of a family farm on HaHayalim Street in moshav Bitzaron. Its site says the family has grown a vineyard of Malbec grapes since 2014 and made wine from it since 2018, picking the grapes themselves and driving them at dawn to the Sorek winery at kibbutz Nachshon, where the wine is made in small quantities. The wide yard looks out over fields and orchards, and the family opened it for wine meetings: evenings of wine, cheeses and music from 18:30 until closing at 22:30 with no time limit at the table, chef's meals, pre-Shabbat workshops pairing wine with design, photography, candles, chocolate or flowers, bachelorette parties and private events. Hosting is by booking only, for small groups or on dates it announces, and the farm also makes natural soaps from its olive oil, candles, and postcards from photographs of the yard. The name means a citation, the source a quotation is taken from, and the family says it tells the story of the place.
