Hatzalbanim sits in the heart of Caesarea's old port, facing the ancient breakwater and among the remains of the Crusader city, with the sea and the sunsets in its windows. Its site tells how a couple who grew up working in the family restaurant bought it, ran it for years as a non-kosher restaurant and made it kosher during the coronavirus period; the family has since opened Aresto, also in the port, and the Yekvei Caesarea events hall. The kitchen is Mediterranean with an Israeli twist, with fresh fish from the Mediterranean and the local catch, such as whole sea bream, sea bass or red mullet, next to a grill of entrecôte, lamb chops and kebab. It takes events of up to 350 guests when closed for them, with a private room for 30 and a terrace for up to 200.
