A meat and grill restaurant on Police Square in Hadera, on the old road between Haifa and Tel Aviv, known for its turkey shawarma and its charcoal skewers

Sami Bakikar is a meat restaurant on Police Square in Hadera, on the old road between Haifa and Tel Aviv, and by its own account it has been open for more than two decades. It works with fresh poultry and turkey only, grills its meat over charcoal and serves aged, marbled steaks, with salads made on the spot and laffa from the taboon. Its shawarma turns on a larger than usual spit of fresh turkey with lamb fat on top, and it is carved without a pause so it stays juicy. It is kosher under the Hadera religious council, closes for Shabbat and opens again an hour after it ends, and it hosts events in the restaurant and in an events hall of its own for up to 300 guests.
