The Schumacher is an adults-only boutique hotel in the German Colony, in a restored and preserved Templer building beside a new one. Guests come in through a green garden, and its site says the hotel looks out over the city, Mount Carmel, the Baha'i Gardens and the port. It has 40 rooms and suites, from 20 square metre Classic rooms, some designed by the house artist Gil Goren, to three suites in the listed building facing the garden. The lounge has a coffee and tea corner open all day, there is a treatment room and a sunbathing roof, guests get wine at check-in, and parking is free on the street and in a public car park.
